Hello there Gorgeous and welcome to My V Matters! Yes, that V is for vagina, and vulva and vestibule too.*

If you are suffering from chronic vulvar or vaginal pain and want some buddies who get it, come hang out with us!

Does sex hurt? How about using tampons, having a PAP smear test or even wearing tights or jeans? We understand, honey, and we're here to tell you that you are not alone.

We are two women who have personally experienced v pain and want to write about our experiences in a way that is honest about how challenging it is while still being optimistic and hopeful. We write about the medical and science-y side of things, but also about holistic approaches to health and the emotional journey of learning to love yourself and value your body.

We believe that breaking the silence around this topic is a huge and necessary step towards both personal healing and the advancement of medical research and care.

Our home on the internet consists of a blog, currently written by Laura with occasional posts by Faith, and a resource page which has links to books, yoga DVDs, other patient blogs, and medical professionals who can help you on your way to a healthy body.

You can also check out our Facebook page and Twitter feed, @myVmatters. Feel free to reach out to us with questions of contributions!

And remember...

My v matters...and yours does too!

Over on the blog...
